Dr.Christine Hansen is a clinical psychologist who provides treatment in the area of marital and couples therapy. She has extensive experience and training in this realm. Her areas of practice also include the treatment of stress and work/career issues, depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress. She also provides psychological assessments to insurance companies, and consulting services to small to medium sized businesses. Dr. Hansen is an Employee Assistance Service provider to the Metropolitan Police and Cupee. Her approach is eclectic with a strong cognitive-behavioural orientation and appreciation for the unique challenges of different life stages.
Dr. Hansen completed her undergraduate work at the University of Western Ontario, and her Masters and Doctorate degrees in Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto. She is a registered psychologist with the College of Ontario Psychologists (licence number 1453) and on the Canadian Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology.
Dr. Hansen has worked in a wide variety of settings, including hospital and community college settings. She also worked with Industrial Psychologists for 4 years in an assessment and training capacity. In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, her two dogs, going to films, ballroom and Latin dance, and studying Spanish.
