Registered Clinical Psychologist in Markham and Richmond Hill

 

Dr. Hansen is a registered Ph.D. psychologist. She obtained her Ph. D from the University of Toronto. She has obtained a broad range of experiences working in diverse settings. Working with a psychologist can facilitate changes and solutions sooner providing realistic solutions and strategies. Sometimes an occupation seems to choose you. At an early age Dr. Hansen was frequently approached by peers and friends for support and insight into problems. Seen as approachable, caring, trustworthy and non-judgemental, this has continued as a life-pattern and ultimately a satisfying and rewarding career.

She completed her undergraduate work at the University of Western and the University of Toronto. She obtained her Master's degree and Ph.D. from the University of Toronto and is a registered psychologist with the College of Psychologists (#1453). She is also on the Canadian Registry of Health Service Providers in Psychology.

 

She has deepened her experiences through working in a wide variety of settings, which include hospital and community settings. She also spent several years working in Industrial Psychology. The last 25 years have been spent in private practice and consulting to other mental health and rehabilitation service providers in York Region. Clients report they find her "very easy to talk to"," down to earth" with a capacity to identify issues and problem solving strategies quickly.
